COVID-19 Update - Flooring Design

8th September 2021 - Alert Level 2

As many of you know, the majority of New Zealand transitioned into Level 2 today. We can happily say that our locally owned and operated showrooms in Level 2 areas are now open to the public.

We are performing all of our services following the Level 2 protocols given by the NZ government to keep our customers safe and protected.

Please respect the safety and prevention practices our stores are following. If you visit your local store, please wear a face mask, sign or scan in, sanitise, keep a social 2-metre distance.

Our locally owned Flooring Design will love your support and are excited to open their doors. So come and visit your local showroom this week and say hi.

1st September 2021 - Alert Level 3

With the announcement of Alert Level 3 for most of New Zealand, the majority of our flooring services will now be available in those areas.

The way we provide our services will be slightly different. They will be performed under the level 3 protocols and contactless practices recommended by the NZ government.

Our showrooms will remain closed until the government advises us that it is safe to open them to the public.

You can now book; flooring consultations, flooring samples by contactless delivery, free measures and quotes and get flooring safely installed into your home or business.

These services will be provided strictly under the sanitary and safety practices recommended by the government for level 3. Our customer's health, safety and satisfaction come first.

August 18th 2021 - Alert Level 4

The New Zealand Government announced the move to COVID-19 Alert Level 4 last night. This change means that Flooring Design will temporarily change how we operate our business and interact with our customers.

Our retail showrooms will be closing across New Zealand. They will remain closed until the New Zealand Government advises that it is safe to continue person-to-person services. Unfortunately, we will have to postpone our in-home services, face-to-face consultations, site visits, and installation appointments. Your local store will contact you to reschedule as soon as possible.

We are grateful for your patience and support during the last two years as we battle this epidemic together.

FAQs

Q. I received a quote from you before lockdown – will you honour the price?

A. Our quotes have a 30 day expiry on them unless otherwise stipulated, so provided your quote does not expire it will be honoured.

Q. I paid a deposit, will my job still go ahead?

A. Once we have received a deposit, the flooring is ordered and booked in. Just as soon as we can reopen our stores and/or get our installation teams into your home safely, your project can go ahead!

Q. What happens to my scheduled installation or measure?

A. Due to the restrictions around Alert Level 4 the installation or appointment will have to be rescheduled. The Flooring Design store you are working with will make contact with you to organise a new time.

Q. I need to discuss something with the shop, can I still contact somebody?

A. Please email your local Flooring Design team. Find your nearest store here.

Q. Can I still schedule a free measure and quote?

A. Absolutely! You can use our form on the website to do this.
