Important Considerations

While we strive to offer transparent and competitive pricing, there are several factors that can affect the final cost of your flooring installation.

The Houselot Price Indicator is based on 25LM of carpet, or 70sqm of hard flooring – depending on which QR code you scanned to arrive here.

The average house size can vary from city to city, so make sure to clarify the size referred to with the houselot pricing with your local store.

The Houselot Price Indicator is meant as a general guide for the average house size. The pricing can vary greatly due to several factors outside of regional pricing differences. These could include:

Design layout of your home – this is where you prefer each product to be installed. For example, some people like carpet in the dining area while others prefer a hard flooring. Your quote may be higher or lower than the indicator for each product category based on where you choose to place each product in your home.

Underlay – the underlay included in the carpet indicators is our Flooring Design Dunlop Comfortmaster underlay: “Built in Micro-Fresh™ antimicrobial protection against mould, mildew, bacteria, and most importantly dustmites for a healthier home in conjunction with Dunlop’s Maxbond™ advanced cushioning system.”

Please note that the advertised price does not include the following:

Uplift of Existing Product: Removal and disposal of any existing flooring materials.

Floor Preparation: Any necessary levelling or treatment of the subfloor before installation of new product.

Transition Bars: Installation of transition bars that may be needed, which are dependant on shape and size of individual room where floating floors are installed.

Whiteware Removal and Reinstatement: Moving appliances such as refrigerators, washing machines, and stoves. These can be hardwired or plumbed into homes, requiring qualified professionals.

Plumbing and Electrical Work: Any adjustments or relocations involving plumbing or electrical systems.

Trimming of Doors: Modifying door heights to accommodate new flooring thickness.

Undercutting of Skirting Boards: Floating floors require expansion gaps. Sometimes this may require undercutting of skirting boards.

Pricing Variations Between Stores: Our goal is to provide consistent and fair pricing across all locations. However, due to regional differences in operational costs and contract installation labour, there may be slight variations in prices between different stores. We encourage you to visit or contact your nearest store for the most accurate quote tailored to your specific needs.
